Remember my car? The one with no a/c in Florida? Yeah... I've not mentioned before that the undercarriage is also rusting out, the gas tank leaks so that I can't put more than 3/4 of a tank in, The main body is starting to rust, a mirror is knocked off, the grill is damaged, all the plastic on the interior is starting to fall apart, the emergency break doesn't work (and it's a standard), the passenger side door cannot be unlocked from the outside, it's got 129,000 miles on it, and now it's starting to creak like an old house when I brake. I desperately need a new car. Money is the issue.
So internets, here is where you come in. I am looking for a pre-owned car - 4 door sedan under 50,000 miles preferably, under $10,000 with taxes and tags with a decent reputation and safety record. Does anyone want to offer some ideas on the types of cars I should consider? I would love a Civic, but they tend to cost more. I'm also looking at the Ford Focus and some of the Hyundai models. Are there other smaller cars out there that I haven't realized could be a good deal? Please help!
