Here are our list of potential places to move. So far Virginia beats out other areas of the country for location, schools, weather and nearness to family. Pittsburgh has all of that going for it too except weather. I don't know that I can take real winter anymore! I could hardly take it in my early 20's!
If you have knowledge of any of these places, please feel free to advise on the school system, cost of living, jobs, crime, sense of community and just overall quality of life. Note that larger cities include the surrounding area. We'd most likely be looking for semi-rural suburbs.

6. Raleigh, NC
North Carolina is going to have to pull a lot out of the hat for it to become a serious contender. We love the looks of it but have had warnings in other areas and it's not much nearer to family. I'm not keen on starting over completely from scratch with no support. Thanks in advance! Ease my mind!
